Wherever it's used, Bolleke immediately ramps up the ambience. And it doesn’t require an electrical outlet. This spherical light can easily be hung on a cord or hook, on a tree, under your parasol or on your tent awning. Bolleke spreads its light evenly across the whole sphere. Thanks to a technique that was specially developed by Fatboy to give evenings more atmosphere.
Bolleke
The LED sphere lamp for outside & inside
Charge your Bolleke up via the USB connection and enjoy instant ambience for up to 24 hours, in three settings. You can easily hang your spherical lamp with the rubber loop that looks like an oversize hairband. Bolleke can be used outside. But, of course, this spherical light can also be put to good use inside. In that makeshift tent in your child’s bedroom, for example, or perhaps for telling somebody’s fortune.
Nathalie Schellekens
About the Designer
Bolleke was designed by Nathalie Schellekens (Eindhoven, the Netherlands). Nathalie designs products that are timeless and iconic, as well as super-practical so that you can use them every day. She devotes a lot of attention to pragmatic details, such as Bolleke’s loop. For this she drew her inspiration from the type of clip used to stow sails on a sailboat. Exactly the kind of detail that we love at Fatboy. Nathalie: "I like how Bolleke is at home anywhere. He invites you to dream and experiment. I see Bolleke as a friendly and tough little character. I like to go places together."
With Bolleke, the atmosphere is assured with your Toní and Paletti sets
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Bolleke outdoors?
The Bolleke is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, making it the perfect companion for summer evenings, from sunset until late into the night. While the Bolleke is splash-proof and can handle a little rain, it's important to bring it inside during heavy downpours to prevent water damage.
To ensure the Bolleke remains in great condition, always check that the USB cap is securely closed and that the rubber ring’s 'legs' are properly plugged into the lamp. This helps maintain its splash-proof properties.
Winter Storage Tip: During the long winter months, store the Bolleke in a temperate indoor space to protect it from extreme cold and prolong its lifespan. Proper care will ensure your Bolleke continues to light up your nights for years to come.
How to clean the Bolleke lamp?
It is best to clean the Bolleke carefully with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. If you want to use soap, make sure it’s a neutral soap. Bolleke doesn't like cleaners with chemicals or bleach. And never open the lamp while cleaning it!
How many light settings does Bolleke have?
Bolleke has three light settings. You can control them with the on/off button.
How does the battery of my Bolleke work?
If this is your first time using Bolleke, it should charge for at least 8 hours. Afterwards, 4.5 hours is enough. After charging, your Bolleke can stay on for about six hours on the brightest setting, fifteen hours on the medium setting and 24 hours on the lowest setting.
My Bolleke is flashing. What should I do?
This isn’t disco mode, just an indication that the battery of the Bolleke is almost empty. Charge it and the Bolleke will work again.
Help! I have water in my Bolleke, what to do?
If water enters your Bolleke, ensure the USB cover is securely closed after charging to prevent further ingress. After any repair or maintenance, carefully screw the core back into place to restore its watertight seal. If water has collected inside the shade, follow these steps:
1. Unscrew the core by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Remove the water from the shade.
3. Allow all parts to dry thoroughly indoors before reassembling.
Important: Do not attempt to dry the parts using a heat source, as this may cause damage to the components.
What kind of charger should I use for my Bolleke?
We recommend to use a 5V 1amp charger for your Bolleke to guarantee the most efficient charging procedure and to extend the lifecycle of the batteries.
What material is Bolleke made of?
The exterior of the Bollek is made of HDPE, a strong, water-repellent plastic. The interior of the Bolleke has an ABS base plate with LED housing. And the loop is made of silicone rubber.
