Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the Flamtastique XS outdoors?
You can place Flamtastique XS almost anywhere—just not outside in the rain. Use only kerosene lamp oil or paraffin-based, odorless lamp oil as fuel.
How do I use my Flamtastique XS?
Flamtastique XS burns on lamp oil. The transparent base shows the remaining fuel level. Turn the ear (adjuster) to raise or lower the wick. Use ordinary lamp oil only.
The wick is stuck—what should I do?
Do not force the knob. Ensure the wick is centered at the top and bottom of the mechanism and not twisted. Gently pull the wick straight from both ends. Only do this when the lamp is off and completely cool. Wash your hands afterward.
Why does my wick burn up quickly?
Let the wick soak in oil for at least 15 minutes before first lighting. Fill the reservoir to the max level. A fully saturated wick lasts much longer and produces a higher, steadier flame.
How do I clean the Flamtastique XS?
Clean regularly with a soft cloth, lukewarm water, and neutral soap. Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or abrasive pads. Do not remove the silicone cover from the glass oil tank. If fuel spills on the silicone, unscrew the colored aluminum burner pot (with wick), rinse the glass tank with silicone cover under the tap, then dry with a cloth.
