This product comes with a charging cable, but without an adapter. The charging cable has a USB connection. Make sure you use an Adapter max. 5 Volts 1 Amp. Using a different power adapter may cause irreparable damage to the luminaire.
The first charge must be a minimum of 8 hours.
Do full charges so as not to shorten the life of the battery.
Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth and a little liquid soap. Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene or abrazive substances. Never open the lamp when cleaning.
Treat your Bolleke like regular lighting and store it indoors when it rains, for the winter or is not used.
Do not store in winter in an unheated space. During the off-season, or if you are not using your light for an extended period of time, do a recharge every three months to keep the battery active.
Lost charging cable? Please note that we do not sell them. Why not? Because we have enough cables and chargers at home. You surely have one that fits our product. The charger must be an Adapter max. 5 Volts 1 Amp.

Bolleke was designed by Nathalie Schellekens (Eindhoven, the Netherlands). Nathalie designs products that are timeless and iconic, as well as super-practical so that you can use them every day. She devotes a lot of attention to pragmatic details, such as Bolleke’s loop. For this she drew her inspiration from the type of clip used to stow sails on a sailboat. Exactly the kind of detail that we love at Fatboy. Nathalie: "I like how Bolleke is at home anywhere. He invites you to dream and experiment. I see Bolleke as a friendly and tough little character. I like to go places together."

Loved this light but it just tied today. Tried recharging it several times but nothing. Very unhappy.

Gimmicky and overpriced

I made the mistake of watching the video of the designer discussing how she came up with the idea. I liked her. Wanted to support her but mostly thought her light was cool.
Now that I have it I realize how overpriced it is. It’s a plastic ball with an inexpensive, not-very-bright, LED inside and a silicon rope for $179. I found another rechargeable LED lantern called BASK for $39 and it looks just a nice, has a handle and can be hung outside.

I also bought their overpriced FatBoy dog bed. Had I known it was full of unrecyclable styrofoam balls I would have never bought it. Foam dog beds are no better for the environment but at least they’re half the price. Honestly, I mostly liked the Fatboy logo on the side of the bed. I’m a sucker for marketing, I guess.

Makes pleasant warm light

We were looking for a solution for the outdoor area, because we do not have electricity there. Two lamps hang above the table and spread a pleasant light. There are three brightness levels. It's not enough for reading, but otherwise it's perfectly okay. The battery life is as described. The attachment is simple, the charging time is 3 hours.

Bright spot

Beautiful pendant lights with USB charging possibility. Three different brightness levels can be selected. A rubber cap protects the USB port and the power button is also rubber. The lamps have different colored hanging loops which are also rubberized. A USB cable is included, but no longer a power adapter. Obviously, the manufacturer wants to avoid unnecessary waste, since power supplies with USB ports should be available in households today enough. With acquaintances, these ball lamps have been in use for years and have always pleased me. Now I also hope for the longevity of my lamps, then the price would also justify itself. The lamps are intended for indoor and outdoor use.
