The basic design gives all the elementary components the opportunity to flourish. For example, when illuminated, the iconic round shape resembles a pearl. Thanks to its even contours, Bolleke creates uniform light in any space. Light is equally distributed throughout the entire lamp. A technology specially designed by Fatboy.

The soft rubber silicon buttons are subtly integrated into the design. They match the color of the loop, which was inspired by the hair elastics and sailing binder smart systems. You can tie Bolleke as easily as your hair or the sail on a yacht. With three different light settings, Bolleke stands out against any backdrop. This makes Bolleke a stylish and smart light that is at home anywhere.

But, of course, Bolleke can also be put to good use inside. In that makeshift tent in your child's bedroom, for example, or perhaps for telling somebody's fortune.

This product comes with a charging cable, but without an adapter. The charging cable has a USB connection. Make sure you use an Adapter max. 5 Volts 1 Amp. Using a different power adapter may cause irreparable damage to the luminaire.
The first charge must be a minimum of 8 hours.
Do full charges so as not to shorten the life of the battery.
Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth and a little liquid soap. Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene or abrazive substances. Never open the lamp when cleaning.
Treat your Bolleke like regular lighting and store it indoors when it rains, for the winter or is not used.
Do not store in winter in an unheated space. During the off-season, or if you are not using your light for an extended period of time, do a recharge every three months to keep the battery active.
Lost charging cable? Please note that we do not sell them. Why not? Because we have enough cables and chargers at home. You surely have one that fits our product. The charger must be an Adapter max. 5 Volts 1 Amp.

Bolleke was designed by Nathalie Schellekens (Eindhoven, the Netherlands). Nathalie designs products that are timeless and iconic, as well as super-practical so that you can use them every day. She devotes a lot of attention to pragmatic details, such as Bolleke’s loop. For this she drew her inspiration from the type of clip used to stow sails on a sailboat. Can I use Bolleke outdoors?

Yes, Bolleke is made for indoor and outdoor use. It is splash-proof and fine with a bit of rain, but bring it inside during heavy downpours. Always close the USB cap and make sure the rubber ring legs are properly fitted to keep it splash-proof. In winter, store Bolleke indoors to protect it from the cold and extend its life.

How to clean the Bolleke lamp?

Clean Bolleke with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. If needed, use a neutral soap only. Do not use chemical or bleach-based cleaners. Never open the lamp while cleaning.

How many light settings does Bolleke have?

Bolleke has three light settings, controlled via the on/off button.

How many lumens does the Bolleke lamp emit?

Bolleke has three brightness levels: about 19.92 lumens (low) for a soft glow, 34.15 lumens (medium), and 44.18 lumens (high). It is meant to create a cozy atmosphere, not to be a task light.

How does the battery of my Bolleke work?

Charge Bolleke for at least 8 hours the first time. After that, 4.5 hours is enough. After charging, it runs about 6 hours on high, 15 hours on medium, and up to 24 hours on the lowest setting.

My Bolleke is flashing. What should I do?

Flashing means the battery is almost empty. Charge Bolleke and it will work again.

Help! I have water in my Bolleke, what to do?

Make sure the USB cover is fully closed after charging to avoid water ingress. If water gets in: 1) unscrew the core counterclockwise, 2) empty the shade, 3) let every part dry indoors completely before reassembling. Do not dry with a heat source.

What kind of charger should I use for my Bolleke?

Use a 5V 1A charger to charge Bolleke efficiently and to protect the battery.

Is my Bolleke lamp suitable for fast charging?

No, Bolleke is not designed for fast charging. Only use the charger recommended in the manual. Fast or high-output chargers can damage the battery or reduce the lamp’s lifespan.

What material is Bolleke made of?

The outer shell is HDPE, a strong, water-repellent plastic. Inside is an ABS base plate with LED housing, and the loop is made of silicone rubber.
